The University of East Anglia (UEA) is an internationally renowned university based in a campus that provides top quality academic, social and cultural facilities to over 17,000 students across a diverse range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses.
UEA was using an alternative CRM which was designed specifically for the higher ed market but, found it wasn’t offering the flexibility or the functionality that they needed as they continued to evolve. After implementing Sales Cloud, they decided they wanted to improve their options in marketing automation to be able to personalise their applicant’s journeys and make them more engaging. Marketing Cloud felt like the best extension to their existing Sales Cloud as it offered lots of flexibility on segmented journeys and true personalisation.
UEA started self-implementing Marketing Cloud by maximising Trailheads and The Success Cloud Group. They decided to bring a partner into the project for advice on best practice and to guide them through what to do next. Pracedo started by performing an account review of how they had set their marketing cloud and assisted on activating some intricate features. A master data extension was created, which synced the relevant information from Sales Cloud to Marketing Cloud every 15 minutes, to give the team the most accurate data.
Pracedo also assisted UEA with setting up their first customer journey empowering them to edit and create future journeys independently.
