Centrepoint is the UK’s largest youth homelessness charity and supports more than 15,000 homeless young people every year. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills to get them back into education, training and employment.
They wanted to develop their existing Salesforce system by building two custom lightning experience apps for two of the main departments within the organisation. These apps would improve data quality and move away from writing up paper forms and manually uploading them into Salesforce as this was a time-consuming process. Centrepoint also wanted to be able to report on their processes.
The new apps have been a huge success with data quality improving by 22% in the first 2 weeks. The staff at Centrepoint are now saving 500 hours per week thanks to an increase in automation and validation rules which stops the duplication of work. Documents can now be signed electronically and ‘Visualforce pages’ have been used to create printable PDFs versions.
